June 2008
Dear Pastor and friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
We praise the Lord for all that you do to assist the many ministries that fall under the umbrella of I AM Ministries in Africa. It could not be done without you.
During a recent 3 day revival meeting held in the Congo by the African Encounter group, 64 precious souls made professions of faith.
Just in a few short weeks a busy schedule will begin at the Kafulafuta Mission in Zambia. A Sunday school teachers training and a Pastor’s Refresher course will be held along with a few construction projects in preparation of the up coming annual Bible Conference. Please pray for these things.
As you already know this years Bible Conference will be the celebration of 20 years of ministry there. It is clear that during these years God has placed his hand on the ministry of IAM (International African Missions). Since 1988 when the missionary endeavors began at Kafulafuta Mission in Zambia, Africa and surrounding countries, God has confirmed His presence with much fruit.
Over 250,000 have made professions of faith.
Over 250 churches and preaching points have been established in Sub-Sahara Africa.
5 Bible Institutes have been established in Zambia to train nationals with graduations each year.
Over 150 men have been trained for the ministry.
We have sent missionaries from Zambia to the following countries:
- Botswana
- Burundi
- The Congo
- Tanzania
As the ministry continues to flourish, so do the needs. The devaluation of the dollar, the rising cost of fuel and consumer goods have caused the budget of the ministry to swell. For this reason I would like to challenge you to consider partnering with IAM on a monthly basis to reach Sub-Sahara Africa or to increase your current monthly commitment.
For $1.00 your church can provide one person 3 meals a day for a week during our upcoming annual Bible Conference and VBS (over 10,000 attend each year).
For $100 a month your church can support a national pastor/missionary on the field.
For $100 a month your church can help support the mission in training national pastors/missionaries in the Bible Institute.
For $1000 a month your church can adopt 1/10th of the IAM over seas Field Budget to maintain the mission station.
For $15,000 your church can send a container of much needed Bibles and supplies to Africa.
For approximately $3000 you or any member of your church can take a mission trip to Zambia to experience what God is doing personally.
I know the present times are rough financially, but the Great Commission has not been put on hold, and I’m reminded in the book of II Corinthians chapter 8 how the churches of Macedonia gave out of their deep poverty and God blessed.
Thank you for the consideration of these requests and your continued financial and prayer support of the ministry God has allowed us to be a part of.
In Christ’s Service,
Dennis and Sue Anderson
