April 2008
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in the name of the Lord. Hoping this letter finds all well. We are fine, just a bit tired and flu sick, but all in all God is and remains good, amen. To God be the glory.
Thanks so much for your prayers on our trip to Zambia during the Resurrection Conferences. The trip went fine, we hit the ground running and the Lord met with us, no doubt. It seems whenever we make such a trip to Africa, there is battle after battle taking place. From the physical which we can see, to all the behind the scenes fighting, trying to keep the Gospel from having free course, to the everyday battle of trying just to do right in the sight of the Lord. Wow, God is indeed wonderful and faithful, to say the very least.
We had over 180 saved with over 80 following the Lord in believers baptism. We even had a Mazungu saved. That is the Swahili word for “honky”. Cody Sapp, a young man from KCBT in Missouri got saved and man God has indeed met with that young man. He was baptized the next day in the Kafulafuta River and has decided to stay at Kafulafuta and go to our Bible School. God is indeed wonderful. We had several locations around Zambia where we had our Conferences in the “bush” and in the cities. Many came to worship our Lord and it was just wonderful to see and experience the results of people coming to Jesus Christ. Thank you DBC for sending such a quality of young men who love the Lord and were spiritual led and filled to preach the Word to our people. You were and are a wonderful blessing. Thank you.
As we prepare for the 20th year Celebration this August at Kafulafuta we are once again challenged and overwhelmed at the Grace of our Lord that would allow us to do what we do. We are expecting over 10,000 people for 8 days and nights at our Mission Station. We are also expecting 40 visitors from the USA who will be teaching, preaching, evangelizing, cooking, cleaning, building, and all other things that arise. We need your prayers so much for this coming Conference as the Kwacha is devaluated and prices keep going up and up. Fuel costs are over $8 a gallon right now and are expected to rise and rise.
Please also pray for our continued travels across the USA from Church to Church that God would give us the opportunities to Minister His Word and see lives changed for the glory of God. My health is okay at the moment, praise the Lord. I know many of you have asked just how am I doing? Well, not in the hospital and going down the road for Jesus. God bless each one of you for your prayers. We now have another grandson, Levi, and my younger daughters and their husbands are both expecting their first. Six grandchildren and 2 on the way, God is good.
We praise the Lord for your faithfulness. Becky sends her howdy’s and prayers. Thanking each one of you who lift up the Bonner Family in prayer and support. God is good and we praise HIM, HE is worthy.
In Jesus Name,
Bobby & Becky Bonner
