July 2008
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in the wonderful name of the Lord. God is indeed good, all the time, amen. Hoping and praying this letter finds all of you serving our Lord and loving it, to God be the glory.
The Conference is almost on us. Preparation is going on as we speak. Brother Larry Waye is there at Kafulafuta as I am writing this letter, with a team that is teaching all of our Pastors in our quarterly Pastors Refresher Course, and helping in the building of MANY latrines, and the putting on of a new roof on one of the Mission houses that is in need of repair. We are expecting some 40 visitors from the USA this year, with several teams from different Churches coming to participate in our 20th Year Celebration of being at Kafulafuta Baptist Mission in Zambia Africa. Wow, has it been that long, or my how time flies, when you are having fun. Our Pastor, George Grace is making his first ever visit to Kafulafuta with several members from FBBC in Rochester. Children’s Pastor Aaron Scheer from Alabama is bringing over a team for VBS and Teacher Training. We also have several Women coming to teach and train the African Women. And to top it all off, Dr. Jim Elias is coming with a team of Physicians, both Dentists and Doctors, that will be ministering to our people’s physical needs. Once again we are anticipating a very large group to be at the Mission Station this year. Last year we had over 11,000 for the 8 days of Conference time. The National Pastors have even stated that they want to start the Conference early because of the amount of people that will be attending. So it looks as if the Conference will begin on the 9th for VBS and go until Monday and then the main conference will begin Tuesday and go till Sunday with even more preaching and teaching than ever before.
An update on the amount that has come in for the Conference. We put out a plea that for only 1 $ you could feed 1 person three meals a day for 8 days. We have received just over 8,000 for the Conference as of right now. It looks as if we are going to need a MIRACLE of the loaves and fishes if we are going to feed all that will be coming. We need PRAYER. Please if you can, at this late hour, please help us in buying the food for all the people that will be coming. I believe we are about 3 to 4 thousand short of our goal. I know it is a sacrifice, but we also know that it is a sacrifice well pleasing to God, Phil. 4.
Thank you so much for all the prayers and support. We are excited to serve the Lord and to see many lives changed for the glory of God. Just had one of my grand-sons saved last week. God is great, amen. We love all of you.
In Jesus name,
Bobby & Becky Bonner
