About IAM Ministries
The mission of I AM Ministries is to work hand-in-hand with nationals, churches and governments to assist in fulfilling the responsibility of the church to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, even to the uttermost parts of the earth, specifically in sub-Sahara Africa.
I AM Ministries (which began as God’s Christian Missionary Service of Zambia) was created in order to help fulfill the responsibility of the Church to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, even to the uttermost parts of the earth.
The Ministry Progressed
Using Kafulafuta Baptist Mission as the headquarters of operation, it is the vision of this organization to evangelize, baptize, plant churches, and disciple using the Word of God as the final authority.
IAM is doing just that. Celebrating its 20th year of being in Zambia in 2008, we have seen over ½ Million people make professions of faith in 20 years with over 200 Churches planted and over 300 men trained for the ministry. Four Bible Institutes have also been established to train the African to reach Africans with the Gospel.
Through this plan of intense study and application of the Word of God, we are seeing many Churches flourishing & growing all throughout Zambia and now in neighboring Countries like Botswana, Malawi, Tanzania, Congo, Angola, and eventually all of Sub-Sahara Africa.
2007 Update
Approximately 4000 people made professions of faith, and 2590 people got baptized. Of these amounts, 2340 professions and 1780 baptisms were made in church services and the remaining 1660 professions and 810 baptisms were made at camps, schools police meetings or by evangelism. PRAISE THE LORD!

National Pastors and Missionaries
Supporting national pastors and national missionaries is a biblical precept that we must not overlook. The early church at Antioch determined to send support to needy churches and pastors (Acts 11). The Apostle Paul was one of the men chosen to deliver collected support to these churches. I AM Ministries is positioned to distribute support to African National pastors that are equipped to reach Africans today!
Men from the Zambian churches are flocking to the Institute to be trained as national pastors. These men are then sent out to plant additional churches in Zambia, and other African countries, like the Congo. These national pastors need monthly financial support. They are fully equipped to go to the farthest reaches of Africa, delivering the Gospel to Africans, where no American missionary can or would be able to go. It would take many years to train American missionaries and thousands of dollars in monthly support to send them. The missionary then can spend years learning the culture and language of the people he is trying to reach.
In contrast, we can support a national pastor for a mere $150 per month!
Nationals going from one Country to the next need as much as $500 a month because the Countries will not allow them to have a job if Church related.
They do not have to overcome the obstacles of learning a language or immersing themselves in the culture - they are already part of it. And these national pastors can go where others cannot and will not.
Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul. -Acts 11:29-30.
