Pastor Frazer Kane's Newsletter:
October 2008
Greetings in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Bible Reading: Philippians 2:13, 14 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, do all things without murmuring and disputings."
I am really praising God who is working in you supporting pastors, friends, as well as in your loving church members for the great and generous support you are rendering to the ministry out here in Zambia. It is due to your support financially and in prayers that our ministry is moving forward by the grace of God.
At the moment, we just finished digging the foundation for the church building.
 |
This is the photo for the foundation. Two classrooms in the front and then the main room for meeting. A person is standing at the further boundary. See all the houses that have already been built in the last year. This was just a bush area a short time ago. All these people are excited to have a church in their area. |
It's the faithful men in the church that did the digging of the foundation. We are really working tirelessly to ensure that we build the church building in order to be free from meeting at the school where we rent every month for 75,000 kwacha. In dollars it is about $20. But this money is almost the whole offering we collect in a month. So most of the money goes just for renting the class.
The church members of Liberty Baptist are also trying to contribute as much as they can, but it is just little that they can give, to insure that we continue to build. In the church, there are only 3 or 4 people who work the serious jobs in order to support their ministry. Even those who don't work do also contribute when they have something to give.
However, I am really asking, praying that you support us so that we can do more for the Lord. The money you support us with will always go towards the intended projects that you support.
According to the project, we are trying to go stage by stage as the Lord provides. Since we have finished the digging of the foundation, the next step will be to cast the footings into the foundation. The method, we will need sand amounting to 16 tons and 8 tons of crushed stones. With 10 packets of cement, crushed stones and sand will be used to cast the footings. We will be mixing stones with sand and add water. Once it's ready, then add cement to it. Then pull or cast into the foundation all around. Then give it 6 days to dry. Thereafter, we will build the short walls to make the box. You will be able to see how it's done through the pictures that we will be sending for you to see.
 |
The 2 classrooms. We will be meeting on Saturday to level the piles of dirt.
Here we only have about 14 bags of cement to do the footing. Then the other 10 packets will help build a short wall all around the foundation. |
If God provides, we will only need 3 million more kwacha for this stage I have just mentioned. That is a little over $800. This is to buy the stones, sand, cement and also transporting blocks from the house to the plot. When buying all these, we will need to pay for trucks to deliver too.
We believe that this might be a good time of buying sand, stones, and transporting blocks before the rain is serious because then the ground will be impassable for the trucks to carry heavy loads from the rivers.
Dear pastors, I would want to tell you that it is my passion, my heart, and my love for God's work and the ministry. I pray day and night for this ministry, that God will allow us to build and be a blessing to the people here in Zambia, Kalulushi town.
Our Godly heart bids us to finish God's house. We want to see it standing and say, "Wow! Thank you, Lord!"
CHURCH PROGRESS UPDATE
The church is doing very fine by the grace of God. The training of faithful men and women in the church has continued. It's always exciting and loving to see men and women learning the Word of God in order to become more profitable to God's ministry. I really enjoy teaching and seeing men learning God's Word even more.
Bible studies and prayers are still going on smoothly. Also praying for you pastors and your lovely churches.
Women ministry is still going on. The choir is also going on well. Sunday is still going on. However, in all these ministries are many challenges to encounter and God is saying go on more forward. Truly, we are in God's protection. He will never fail us.
EVANGELISM MINISTRY AND FRUITS
The past two months, September and October, we were able to see 4 souls come to Jesus in salvation. I will continue making follow-ups to these saved people in order for them to know for sure that God loves them and want to use them in His glory. Pray with us that those people get discipled. To see the church growing, is by way of going out to reach the lost soul which are crying out there. That we want to be free, it is our responsibility.
MY FAMILY UPDATE AND PRAYER REQUEST
My wife and I are doing very fine. God is good. Next year, May 7th, 2009, we will be celebrating our 6th year anniversary (in marriage). I always thank God for my family. Daniel our son is going to turn 5 years next year 7th March. He is grown up and talking too much. Also, not forgetting that he is doing very fine in school. The school he goes to is called Cornerstone Christian School. Every school day, he writes homeworks.
Please pray for me that God gives me wisdom on how to run His ministry in the right way. Pastors, this ministry out here is your fruit. Pray for me that I am not surrounded with wrong advisors who have their own interest. Wrong advisors always destroys God's work.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
We are in rainy season now. Come and see the rain pouring down.
In Zambia, the economy is just getting worse and worse. Prices of our staple food is going high. Prices for house rentings high. Everything high. No food security in Zambia. Fertilizer has gone from 100,000 to 350,000 in shops. Farmers suffering. Pray for us that God intervenes in all this. Pray for our new President, Mr. Rupiah Banda and for peace in Zambia to continue because most people in towns wanted Michael Sata to become the President of the Republic of Zambia, which God did not allow as the people in rural areas voted for President Banda. We are thanking God for President Rupiah Banda who is now our Republican President.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Pray for our Ministry, Zambian president.
Pray for souls to be saved and discipled.
Pray for building project funds.
Pray for my mom's house. The roof collapsed. Funds to fix it.
THANKSGIVING
Thank you pastors in States for your generous support towards God's ministry here in Zambia. May the Almighty God continue blessing you and your loving families and church members.
Thank you,
Yours man servant.
