Dear Fellow laborers,
Ephesians 3:20, 21 “Now to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
There are many things to be thankful for in 2005. We have all been healthy and have really had a wonderful time on deputation. It’s been great to meet so many new friends and supporters in the ministry. God has exceeded our expectations yet again, and has increased our support level, for which we are so thankful. To Him be glory!!
We had a brief visit at my parent’s house during the Christmas season. My family, and our ladies’ support team had been praying for a good opportunity for us to share the Gospel, which came the night before we were leaving. In my Mother’s kitchen drawer I found a tract in Greek that included repentance and everything. I asked my Mother where she got it but she said she’d had it a long time. I told her it was great and she should read it. I left it on the counter and was sure in the morning I would find it in the garbage. But it wasn’t! I am praying they will read it and I can do more follow up as the Lord allows. Keep praying!
The Lord has been filling in our schedule tremendously. He is so good to allow meetings in the areas we are already scheduled. It helps us be good stewards of our time and resources. Praise God!
Our Deaf ministry has been growing in the NTID Bible study area. It’s been a great opportunity for me to be able to minister to college age young men, and also has been good practice for me preparing lessons when I am asked to teach. What a blessing it is to have a church to minister in while we are home!
Please join us in prayer that God would continue to fill in our schedule, especially in the summer months. Please pray also as we have meetings with Pastor Curran to prepare all the details of getting ready to leave. When we have full support, we want to be ready to go and not be held up by paperwork etc. We need the Lord’s wisdom and understanding.
Also, please add to your prayer list if you haven’t already, Anderson Chimfumpa. He is a young hearing man from Zambia with a desire to work with the Deaf in Botswana. He received his training at Kafulafuta, so we know he is right on doctrinally. He has a wife and two young children. They are currently raising support. Please take them on if you can, and pray the Lord would help them earn support quickly. You can send your support (in any amount) to First Bible Baptist Church, I Am Ministries. Please label it for Anderson Chimfumpa. It would definitely be a blessing to us if you could support them.
A huge thank you to all of you who sent us gifts for Christmas. We were really overwhelmed by the generosity of the people in our church and those of you in our supporting churches. May God bless you richly for being so liberal in your giving toward us. We love you, and thank God for you all.
