Dear Fellow-laborers,
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The past few weeks have gone by in a blur, but have been very good. We recently finished the Bible conference at our church, and praise the Lord we were able to make it to every service during the week. What a wonderful time in God’s Word, and fellowship with other believers.
We would ask for prayer for my wife’s father, as he is seriously contemplating joining us when we move. It wouldn’t be permanent, just a couple weeks, but it would be a huge blessing in helping set up house and getting our girls settled. Please pray he would get his passport, and also the finances would be provided for his ticket. We are really looking forward to having him with us. Praise the Lord!
Julie and I have recently had the first round of our vaccinations. Our children have had theirs right along with their annual check-ups, so the only thing left for them to get is the rabies vaccine. This is a prayer request, because it is a series of three shots, each costing $220.00 per child. So the cost is roughly $1980.00 for all three of our children to be immunized. Please pray God would provide the finances to make this possible. Thanks!
While we have been home, we’ve had the opportunity to minister in our Deaf class at church, and for Julie to attend her ladies’ prayer group meetings. We also have had some more meetings scheduled for this fall, which fills in our schedule and is a total blessing! Praise the Lord for that.
The beginning of September we will start traveling again quite a bit. Please pray about our van situation. We need a reliable vehicle to finish our deputation, and the one we have now has some problems that cannot be fixed. We know the Lord has it all planned out, and we trust Him to provide!
Please pray for the International African Missions (IAM) conference this October. It is the first one, and we would love to see God’s hand on it, preparing and touching the hearts of our people for the works in Africa. Please keep our fellow IAM partners in your prayers as they tend to the details, and also the speakers as the prepare to share God’s Word. I will also be sharing a testimony, so please pray for wisdom and the Lord’s guidance.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. It is such an encouragement to us, and a blessing! We hope in our next letter we will have more definite times for when we will be departing. As soon as we know we will let you know!! Keep lifting us up to the Father! God bless you!
In Christ,
