January 2007

Dear Fellow-Laborers,

Greetings in the Lord in 2007!! As we look back over another year in review, we are still so amazed and thankful for the provision and loving involvement of our Lord in our lives. What a blessing and honor it is to serve the risen Savior!!

These past two months we had three meetings in three states, and all were a blessing. We also lost support from one church due to financial strain, but gained two more. The combined support from the two new churches equals what we lost. Isn’t God so good?!? We also have several churches considering support. Please continue to pray for decisions. We also have a meeting in Louisiana this month. Pray for traveling safety and ministry opportunities.

Our paperwork was unable to be processed due to us having overlooked some details. We will take care of them in the next few weeks, and then we should be ready to send it out. Please pray for that as well.

We had a wonderful Christmas visit in NYC with my parents. My wife had the opportunity to witness to my father, when he brought up the issue of death, though he would not admit he was a sinner. Please pray for his heart to be open and honest with himself about his spiritual state. I had the opportunity to minister to him by washing his feet nightly and putting on medication for a skin condition he has. It was a blessing to me to be able to show my love in service to him. We just pray he will see Christ through it all.

While in NYC we had the opportunity to minister to Open Door Bible Baptist Church. My wife interpreted one Sunday, and I was able to witness to two Deaf people that visited. What a blessing!

Here in Rochester we have been teaching and discipling people in our own church. That has been challenging but very wonderful. We are thankful for the opportunity to be used. My wife will have the opportunity next week to minister to ladies at our church’s ladies’ retreat. She will be sharing our ministry and also some songs the Lord has given her. Please pray it would be a blessing, and that God would be glorified through it all.

We will hopefully have a departure date in our next letter. As we draw closer to the field, we will be sending monthly letters, as information changes and needs updating more often. Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and support in 2006. We are looking forward to the wonderful things God will do through our partnership in 2007. May He bless you and your ministry as you seek Him daily. God bless you!

Your servant for Jesus’ Sake,

Jimmy Tsoukalas
